About Wilson Libita
Wilson Libita is a mouth painter based in North Bay, Ontario Canadawhose work bridges the landscapes of Canada and the wildlife and spirit of Africa.
Following a spinal cord injury in 2015 that left him a C4/C5 quadriplegic, Wilson discovered painting during the COVID-19 pandemic. What began as a form of therapy soon became a passion and a powerful means of self-expression.
Painting entirely by mouth, Wilson creates original oil paintings inspired by nature, resilience, imagination, and the beauty found in both Botswana—his homeland—and Canada, his adopted home. His vibrant use of colour and light reflects a belief that challenges can be transformed into opportunities for creativity and growth.
His artwork has been exhibited, collected, and featured in publications, inspiring audiences with a message of perseverance, possibility, and hope.
Through Wilson Libita ART, he continues to prove that limitations do not define potential.
